5 years of marriage!

The best part of Christmas vacation was Duke and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on December 27th. It doesn't seem like 5 years until you look at the pictures and see how young everyone looks! We didn't have a wedding video made, so my brother, Taylor, was gracious enough to take time out of his busy schedule to make this video of our pictures. We love it! Thanks so much Tay!  These pictures hold a lot of memories... and we've had an abundance of memories created since. We've had a wonderful 5 years of marriage and look forward to many more wonderful years to come. Love you Duke! Hope everyone enjoys the video :)

Family Pics

While we were at home, we had our family pictures taken by my good friend from High School  Kerry DeRoque Guice. Here's a few of the pics that she took - she did a great job! Here's her website for those interested in seeing more of her work.

Kendl and Winston (younger brother and sister). Winston is at BYU in Provo, and Kendl just got accepted to BYU in Idaho. Congrats, Kendl!

Mom and Dad - are now going to officially be "empty-nesters"! What are they going to do with all of their spare time? :)

Timmie (older sister) and her sweet family. (Aaron, Timmie, Carson, Aidan, Brendon and Baby John - due in June!)

We always have a lot of fun together!

Taylor and Vianey. They live in Conway with mom and dad - hopefully they'll be able to take up some of mom and dad's spare time when they have all of the kids out of the house!

The entire gang!

Me and Duke - oh how cute!

Brendon eating ice cream

I  taught my nephew, Brendon, how to eat suckers and ice cream over Christmas. Aren't I a good aunt? :)

Finally... updated!

Okay, Deep breathe! That was a lot of catching up! Starting with November at the end of the post and working up to December at the top... We had a lot of fun!

I was able to visit and catch up with my good friend Renee - who is getting married this coming summer! Congrats Renee!

We celebrated birthdays...

Duke, Winston, Mom and Aunt Tracy played cards until 4:00a.m. The funniest part about the trips home is Duke is always saying to me " your family is crazy, why don't you ever sleep when you get together with your family?!" (we're always up way late) I think we broke him in because he was up as late and even later than me on some nights!

AND, everyone else was so bored while they were finishing their game of spades, that we got busy giving each other manicures... EVEN uncle Garry participated!

Good job Kendl on Uncle Garry's "man-icure" You're so pretty Uncle Garry!

I think by this time they were all delirious...nothing like a good game of spaids, right Aunt Tracy?

We made a trip to Granny's house. She fed us some delicious food, we definately didnt' leave hungry!

Duke with Granny and the Pres. Bush Doll..... really? A Pres. Bush Doll! Yes, that is what you are looking at!

I'll let you ask Granny what happened in this picture ;)

We also had the pleasure of picking pecans... and the not so pleasure of cracking them all when we got home! They sure were yummy though!
We took the nephews to "jump zone". That's exactly what it is. They have monstrous blow-up bouncer toys. I'm not sure if they were tired when we left, but I sure was! Here's a few pics of the fun.

We traveled home to Arkansas for Christmas. We drove through a blizzard getting out of Colorado, through freezing rain in Kansas, and sunny skies in Arkansas... I think we hit about every kind of weather possible! We finally made it on Christmas Eve in time for the family party. We were lucky enough to not have to wake up until around 8:00a.m. - the nephews need their sleep! I imagine that might not be the case next year! Here's a few pics of Christmas morning...

We donated some toys to The Children's Hospital for Christmas. We had fun shopping for toys, but Walmart was absolutely CRAZY! Toys were everywhere, in the wrong places and there were way too many people around... but we survived!

Duke decided to apply for a pharmacy residency. This meant we got to travel to Florida for a pharmacy residency conference. (Yes, I said "we"... how could I not go?!) We stayed with Brandon and Alison and a wonderful time. Duke and I were able to go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The lines were so short we were able to make it through both parks. Here's some pics of the fun!

BEETLE JUICE, BEETLE JUICE, BEETLE JUICE!!!!!
It worked! Here he is :)

I'm running frantically from a Dinosaur... SCAREY!

Yes, we were the only adults in line for the Cat and the Hat. And, when they said he only had 3 minutes left for pictures and we were number 5 in line... I was starting to worry! But, nonetheless, we made it, and I'm sure Duke was just thrilled!

Check out those muscles!

We made a trip to Downtown Disney and visited the Lego store... Santa was made completely out of legos! Pretty amazing!

Our handsome men! On their way out to their first day of the residency conference. The sad thing is Alison and I had a great time shopping while they were busy shmoozing the residency coordinators and we didn't get any pictures of it! But, those of you who know me, can just imagine how much fun I had!

Do you think we could have gone to Florida without taking a trip to the beach? Of course not!
The bird on the roof was crazy. He was tired of people taking pictures of it, so he attacked them when the walked by. I kept my distance. (mostly because you had to pay to walk to the Pier... but it was fun watching other people get attacked!)

Thanks LaMarr's for the great fun!

Duke's dad came out for a weekend in November. He managed to pack a lot of things into a quick weekend trip. They golfed, we drove to Fort Collins to watch BYU play against CSU, and they fixed our leak in the car... Water Pump.. Again! We fixed it about 2 years ago, but it decided to leak again. So, Thanks to Roger for helping us take care of that!

This is a picture of Duke and Brandon holding some steaks that were absolutely delicious! Duke and Brandon helped Danny move and Danny left us with some steaks... Thanks Danny! And thanks to Duke and Brandon's hard work :)
