Ouch!

So, we have this spiral staircase that goes up to our loft - and we sleep up in the loft. I was downstairs this morning getting my yummy Specail K breakfast ready to eat with my glass of Orange Juice and all of a sudden I hear this very loud THUD, THUD.... THUD THUD THUD THUD THUD. I wasn't quite sure what exactly happened, but it made my heart race and I ran around the corner to find Duke sitting on the stairs, slowly getting up. Apparently he wasn't quite awake when he got out of bed because he managed to slip from the top of the spiral staircase almost to the very bottom of it, while managing to catch is toe on one of the metal bars on the way down. I was very concerned that he was okay, but I have to admit that I did laugh. It was quite funny! (and he has laughed about it since) All morning getting ready he limped around, but he did manage to golf 18 holes today. So, in the middle of golfing I called and left him a message that I thought about him falling down the stairs and it was making laugh at work! LOL! Then, he comes home and takes off his sock to find his blackened/blue toe. I'm thinking he may have broke it, but I'm not quite sure.
Just thought I'd share with you how Duke managed to start his day this morning! :)

Conversation with the Insurance lady at Geico

Okay, so I thought this was quite funny. Duke and I purchased a Jeep Liberty yesterday. So, I called to get insurance coverage on the car and this is a summary of how the conversation went... "thank-you for calling Geico, how can I help you", Morghan says "I need to add coverage to an additional vehicle", Geico says " can I get your first and last name" Morghan says "Anna M Cheney", Geico says, "any relation to Dick?" Morghan says "yeah, he's my husband", the lady at geico then snickers and says, "Oh is that right?" and I said "yes" (a little confused by the snickering and moment of silence) so I said, " what did you ask me?" and she says "I asked if you were related to Dick, you know the vice president?" and I then busted up laughing and said, "oh, my husbands name is Duke and since he's on the policy, I thought you were asking what my relationship to him was"!!!!! too, too funny. We both then had a great laugh on the phone about that, I think I made her night! :) I get that question ALL the time at my work but didn't expect it from her, I guess!
